Neapolitan Thanks

My mind was working on a card in the background all day while we did some housecleaning and played games (Yahtzee, Life, and cribbage). It was hot and muggy all day long, which is perfect for ice cream, and all I could think of was Neapolitan ice cream. I just love those bright pink, creamy vanilla, and chocolate colors! Well, this amazing card sketch from Mandy Cheshire, owner of Limelight Papercrafts, merged with my Neapolitan ice cream vision, and out popped this yummy thank you card.
I made the pink panel by scoring a piece of cheap white card stock (it has quite a bit of texture to it, which helps in this technique) in the line pattern suggested by the sketch. Once again, I just used a stylus and the groove of my paper trimmer. Then I flipped over the scored card stock so the "mountains" would be pointing upward (OK, and this explains how the sketch got reversed) and swiped an ink pad across the scored card stock to make the score lines stand out and to add some texture. Hopefully you can see the score lines a bit better in this closeup.
So this card is for these challenges:
I can't believe how quickly this weekend sped past! But we got to spend it doing things we love: movies with the kids (Aliens in the Attic on Friday and Fly Away Home on Saturday), games, hiking, and a little crafting. It's all good!! Thanks for stopping by! :)
