Happy Birdday! (An MFP Sneak Peek)

Happy Thursday, everyone! Today I am sneak peeking another new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, Tweet Blessings. It will be released in August. The sentiment is from another soon-to-be released MFP set, Owl Be There. I had a lot of fun adding a kinetic element to this 5.5" square card: my little orange birdie can "fly" back and forth above the birdhouse! I made a little "pendulum arm" by uncurling a paperclip, wrapping one end around a brad hidden underneath the birdhouse image, and adhering the bird image to the other end. So you can swing him from side to side like a metronome. Fun :)

My sketch for this card comes from the Get Sketchy Card Challenge, Sketch #47. A cool sketch, to be sure! All those triangles and circles appeal to my mathy brain :). And for my card colors? I'm playing along with the Just For Fun Fridays Color Challenge #20: Finally, because this is a "birdday" card, I'm entering it in the Caardvarks July Challenge, to create a birthday card.

That's all for my papery bliss today. Thanks for dropping in!

So cute and warm! I am impressed that you tried a kinetic feature. I'm too a-scared to try something like that! Or maybe I'm just lazy. :)

I like all the different elements you included here...so much for the eye to see. You have to stop a moment and appreciate all that went into the making of this card. Good work!
