Testing . . . 1, 2, 3, . . .

So, I've decided to start a blog. This is something I've been thinking about doing for a while, creating a place where I can write about the things that make me happy.

First, my family generally makes me quite happy (when I'm not completely vexed by them). I have a wonderful husband, to whom I've now been married for 17 years. We have two lively and fascinating children: an 11-year-old daughter who will start sixth grade and the world of Middle School in the fall, and a 7-year-old son who will start second grade in the fall.

Second, I am often happiest when I am creating something. Sometimes it's creating memories with my family that makes me happiest. Sometimes it's creating something more tangible by cooking, baking, sewing, writing, or crafting with paper. My current creation love is making cards with beautiful papers and rubber stamps. That's what I'll write about most in this blog, I think, at least for the time being. But be prepared to bear with me, because I know I'm going to blog, at least a little, about all the other things in my life that make me happy. So, here we go!
