K.I.S.S.

After a long six months working on a pair of freelance projects, I am so happy to report that they are finally complete and that I met my project deadline on Friday. Yay! I think I can breathe again. A lot of things were pushed to the sidelines while I worked on these, so I'm looking forward to catching up on those, and I'm also looking forward to less oppression and more freedom in the coming days.

We had a relaxing weekend, catching a movie (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) on demand last night with the kids. It was fun and action-packed! DH, DD, and DS all worked on their pinewood derby cars this weekend, and I had some time to play with paper both yesterday and today!! Yay! It felt so good to just create again, unpressured. Here is a CAS card I came up with today.
I combined several challenges in the making of this card:
Thanks so much for checking out this simple card of mine!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU So Many Scallops
Paper: SU night of navy, SU whisper white
Ink: SU night of navy
Accessories: SU scallop trim corner and border punches, SU scallop circle punch, recycled sheer ribbon (saved from a Christmas present), Tiny Twinkles, BowEasy

Loved that movie, saw it with my kids this summer. My daughter has read all the Rick Roiden (sp?) books and loved them.

Absolutely LOVE your card and use of the sketch. Thanks for the link, loving her sketches and hope to play along.

Glad your project work is done and you have a bit more stamping time in your future :)

Very pretty!! I love how you have the snowflake medallion hanging. And what would a snowflake be without a little bling! Thanks so much for playing with us at the SCIC!! We hope you'll join us again sometime!

That's a great CAS card, Em. You've managed to use that stamp set more than once in the last few months, and it keeps reminding me that I should play with mine more often!

The movie was good, wasn't it? We saw it in the theaters a while back. My 12 YO even made a Percy Jackson "Mii" on our Wii. Funny!
