Let It Snow!

Here's a quick card I made this morning to play along with Flourishes' release week challenge: Snowy Delights, to use glitter, Flower Soft, or any kind of bling that offers up a snowy feel.

I used white Fun Flock and a glue pen to add some fluffy snow at the base of my snowman. And then, by happy accident, I noticed that the flocking was stuck to the ink, too, so I ended up with a softly flocked snowman as well!
The stamps (snowman, snowflakes, and sentiment) are all from Flourishes' Warm Winter Wishes set. The patterned papers are all from The Merry Days of Christmas collection by My Mind's Eye.

Today was a big day in our house. My third-grade son was master of ceremonies at his school's Veteran's Day program. Parents were invited to today's performance (there will be an all-school performance tomorrow), so I got to see him in action. I am SO very, very proud of him. He did awesome!! Not at all bad for a kid who needed five years of speech therapy. It was a beautiful moment seeing him shine.

Thanks for checking out today's slice of happy in my little corner of the world!

Love this clean and classy design Emily! Don't you just love that little snow guy? He just warms my heart! Thanks for playing along with us gals! :-)

This is just beautiful, Em! I love it. :)
Congrats to your son. That is just fabulous! One of my twins is in speech therapy and is so very shy and backward about talking in front of others. The fact that your guy was master of ceremonies is just awesome. So proud of your son and of you for being a wonderful mom and helping him to shine!

Hugs!
Em

I had to laugh when I saw the title of your post, especially after last winter's snowfall in your area LOL! Careful what you say on cards...it could come back to haunt you ;)

Lovely image and trips of DP.

Congrats to your son and to the proud mama :)

I don't think there is any snow in our forecast but we are supposed to be getting a lot of rain and wind. Not very festive or really nasty for the Remembrance Day services scheduled for Friday but not much we can do about it. 'Well done' to your little guy and his appointment as MC for the service. (They never fail to make us proud, especially when they have worked so hard to get there!)
Love your sweet little snowman card. The stamping on the kraft paper and the little white 'snowflakes' are so pretty. Your cards are always so nicely done!
Thanks for sharing! :)

Aww I love your mom moment. That is so special. My son is terribly shy and it is hard for him to do things like that. Great card. I love this shimmer. Thanks for joining us at Flourishes.

Your son must be just about ready to burst, just like his mama :) Veterans Day is an incredibly important occasion, and they wouldn't trust that kind of responsibility to just anyone. Watching our kids succeed at something like that...there's no other feeling like it. Congrats to him!
(OH, and yeah, nice card. lol)
Love that the flock had other ideas - sometimes it's a love/hate relationship with that stuff! I love the candy cane twine :)
