This is the November stamp release week at Flourishes, and I always love playing along with their new release challenges. Yesterday's noontime challenge is called "Tag, You're It," and the challenge is simply to make a tag (or a creation with a tag on it). Here's what I made this morning:
I used three different Flourishes sets to make this monochromatic tag: A Year in Flowers 3 (amaryllis), Paperwhites (sentiment), and the retired Holly Background.
You know I don't have a die for cutting the tag. I bought some baker's twine from an Etsy seller last year, and the twine came wound around a lovely tag diecut. I simply traced around it on some kraft cardstock and cut out my own! The hole reinforcer is 1/2" circle I punched from chocolate chip cardstock. After gluing it to my tag, I punched a hole through both layers with my Crop-A-Dile.
The beautiful ribbon came in a collection of blog candy won from the fabulous Christine Okken.
I'm off to visit a friend for lunch soon (with those yummy peanut clusters in tow). Have a super day--I certainly plan to!!

Love the monochromatic colour of this tag, Emily. I love the flower but the smell of it just about does me in so an image version on a tag is perfect for me :)
What a beautiful Christmas tag Emily! Love the softness of it, and great idea using the tag as a template. Have a fabulous lunch!

Soft and beautiful! Great work.
Simply beautiful! I love the rustic feel the colours & twine give it, and that holly background is awesome. And yeah, that ribbon is so pretty :) I love the sponging around the stamped panels too - such a little touch but it makes a big impact! Hope lunch was AWESOME just like you :)
Beautiful tag Emily and I love the sepia tones.
wow....what an elegant tag
What a beautiful tag Emily. I love the ribbon behind the image. :)
Hugs,
BTW...PTI has some great tag dies.
Oh this looks so beautiful done in the neutrals Emily! Lovely tag!
Tracing is good, Emily...great way to make your tag. And, it is just so pretty.
Reminds me of the time I bought a beautiful amaryllis and my sister was holding it in the drive home. When we arrived home, I
somehow hit the curb (what a driver) and the flower went into the dashboard and broke off one of those gorgeous, deep red blooms. I was not happy. Many years ago and I don't think I've ever bought another one, but love them.
Beautiful, beautiful monochromatic color scheme. THe amaryllis looks great uncolored. Those little holly leaves also look wonderful scattered about underneath. Classy tag!
Oh my, this is so gorgeous. I love the monochromatic colors and the beautiful stamps.
