Because Friday is Friends With Flair day over on the Unity blog, I pulled out lots of Unity goodness to put together today's card. And, without further ado, here it is!
Want a Unity accounting? Let's see . . . I've got leaves and berries from two {ippity} sets: Where You Should Be (which is on sale right now!!) and The Simple Things. Words from Thank You Words (kinda makes sense, right?). And the background is the supremely elegant Quatrefoil Background.
Challenges have been my m.o. this week, so here's what inspired me:
- I took my layout from one of the two sketches featured over at Chick Challenges with Ippity this week.
- I took my color scheme from this week's ColourQ challenge: Cherry Cobbler, Kraft, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, and White.
- Do You Stack Up? use a Leaves/Trees theme
- The Kraft Journal Challenge: Happy Harvest
On Monday my kids will have the day off from school for Veterans Day, but sadly, my hubby does not. I'm sure we'll find something fun to occupy us on Monday. But in the meantime, the whole family needs to tackle the leaf raking. With the crazy weather and our crazy schedules, we haven't had any time to devote to this huge task yet!! Hurricane Sandy and Winter Storm Athena managed to knock down most of the leaves (all except the oak leaves, which will hang on for dear life until March and then drop once the grass starts turning green. What's up with that anyway?), so hopefully we'll only have to do this once. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for dropping by to check out my little slice of bliss! Have a great weekend!
Emily

Love your stamping on this sweet card!! Love the background stamp too! My husband actually helped rake the leaves here this year! Surprise!! We only have 2 maples and the rest are pine(16!) but the maples are large and the leaves get really deep! Fun for my son though!!

This is just as sweet as it can be Emzi. I am with you, can't believe Thanksgiving is just right around the corner. It's early this year-at least it gives us a little bit more time inbetween for Christmas!

Beautiful card.
Wonderful fall card, Emily! Love the falling maple leaf (got lots of those in our yard right now too!) and the berries and leaf images below, not to mention the multi-looped bow. Great card.
You've combined all those sets beautifully to come up with this card! I love that quatrefoil stamped background!
love this thanksgiving card Emily-especially the bg stamp you used-have fun raking leaves-we did it 2 weekends ago with one of my grandsons-we have 2 pinoak trees in our yard so we rake now and then in the spring as well
Ooooooh now this one might be my favorite in your round of Thanksgiving cards! I love the pretty assortment of berries and leaves. The single falling leaf is darling!
Beautiful Thanksgiving card! I guess if those oak leaves of yours haven't fallen after those mega-storms, they're not falling for a while. :P

What a cute card my friend.
I guess that is one thing I don't have to worry about here in the desert is raking leaves.. :)
Hugs~
This is such a lovely card! Love the raised leaf and the drop-swirl behind it...adds such a nice touch!
Nice take from the sketch and cool card.
Love the colors, the falling leaf, the hemp, I love it all!
Good luck raking!!! Beautiful card!
Beautiful autumn card, Emily! Love that one little popped leaf!
Beautiful card! I love the layered stamps.
This is lovely! I love that background stamp with all those great Ippity leaves, etc.
Bee-YOU-tiful! I love the fabulous stamping on the panel - and that gently dropping leaf...love its little trail!
My kids have been leaf troopers this year - I've sent them out every day it's not raining, and they've nearly got it all done. I think (gasp) they're goofing around as much as picking up, but whatever. I'm not doing it, and for that, I'm grateful :)
Another Top Note! Just think, if you had a Big Shot....it's sooooo much easier to crank than to hand-trim. ;) Just sayin'! LOL
I thought these stamps were PTI at first...I really like those leaves and berries.
