So, here is the color palette for the new Craft Dash:
That's kraft, navy blue, and sky blue. So pretty!
Now, don't let that 10-minute time limit scare you! You are definitely allowed to gather up your supplies before you start creating. Here are a few tips that Paulina, co-creator of 10 Minute Craft Dash, suggests: "1) Pull out the cardstocks/embellishments/markers you have in the color palette featured so you're able to see what you have to work with. 2) Create a sketch beforehand so you know the direction you want for your project." Need more tips? Then you should definitely check out the 10 Minute Craft Dash Tips & Tricks page.
Well, you probably want to know how I fared on this challenge! I started by gathering up my tools and supplies, including some DeNami cardstock (sky blue and a scrap of kraft) as well as three different DeNami stamps (Three Line Border, Polka Dot Background, and Brushed Thank You)--all while forming a "sketch" of sorts in my head.
Now, I am a slow crafter. It can take forever to create a card and tweak it until I like it. I wasn't sure how this would go, but I gave it my best shot. Here's what I ended up with:
Time to completion: 8:46
I was pretty surprised by what I was able to accomplish in such a short time! Normally, I probably would have fussed a bit trying out different embellishments or maybe seeing if some twine or ribbon would add anything. But I found it to be rather freeing to say to myself, "Nope! This card is done," because there just wasn't any more time to add anything :D.
Want to give it a try? I think you should! There's a great prize involved {wink}.
Be sure to check out all the details over at 10 Minute Craft Dash!!
Thanks so much for checking out today's little slice of bliss in my corner of the world!

Really cute 10 minute (Well, 8 minute, 46 second) card! :)
Making a card in under 10 min.? Now that's a HUGE challenge!! But, You pulled it off! Your CAS card is just that, and to the point! I think this is one challenge I may leave to the experts!! :)
FABULOUS Emily!!~
Oh, great card for the 10 Minute Crash Dash. That makes me nervous...let's see, I bet I could have gotten those stripes all crooked on that sentiment piece just from knowing I had to get it made so quickly. You did it perfectly. Congrats!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with
your family, Emily.
I think I would hyperventilate if I had to make a 10 minute card LOL! You did a great job with it. Loving the polka dots and touch of bling you added. Way to go :)
BEAUTIFUL card Emily! I love the added dimension. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, friend~
Your card is so beautiful, Emily! I love those fun embellishments and you used the colors perfectly!
Thank you for joining along and spreading the word about my challenge, sweet friend! <3
Oh this is such a sweet thank you card. I really like how you framed the sentiment!
Just so sweet! Not too shabby for under 9 minutes! :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Kudos to you, Emily!! I don't think I've ever made a card in 10 minutes...that's definitely something to think about. I love your sweet card in those pretty blues!
Love this, Emily! Great job in only 8 minutes!
I love it! And I love the time challenge - removing the time to dither really streamlines things :)
That's amazing. A card in under 10 minutes. I can dream can't I...lol I think I could do it though if I tried!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I count our friendship as one of my blessings.

Carol

You did an amazing job! I can't get under 8 minutes! I love this challenge because it challenges me and pushes me outside my comfort zone!
You Rock Emily!
I think it turned out super cute Emily! Love those sweet little flowers and the bling!
Looks awesome. I really can't believe you did it in that amount of time.
Hugs~
Love your card and what a great design to come up with for the challenge! I had to make a card the other day and I was literally on the way out the door. Mine wasn't nearly as elaborate as yours.
I love the stripes around the sentiment. They remind me of ticking fabric on the kraft paper.
Thanks for sharing and hope you are having a great weekend! :)
Adorable card! Great job!! ;o)
I can't believe you made that CUTE card in less than 9 minutes! LOVE the design, the dots, and the flowers, Emily!
Isn't it incredible to make a card in 10 minutes - I've actually not made it in under 10 yet. Time to give it another try I guess. Great result!
What a fun challenge. I need to get some of the images so I can play in this one - I love to be under a time deadline. I need to visit your blog more often! Hugz!
