The little things that make me happy here on Bliss Road~~Emily Keaton

Hi

Just a quick post to share a little something I made for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge:

which was inspired by this inspiration photo:

I used the cute little face components from my new Paper Smooches set Wake Up (which I won as a prize in the last SPARKS challenge) and the HI sentiment from PS My Peeps. The green damask patterned paper came from an old Pink Paislee pad (365 Degrees, I think).

The black trim around those pretty pillows in the photo really caught my eye. I knew I had to try to pick that up in my design and hunted in my sewing trims until I found this fun and funky beaded trim. Perfect!

And there you have it: a clean and simple, quick and easy all-purpose card. Done!

I'm off to start some beef stew in the crockpot and to make sure my nine-year-old sweetie is on track to get out the door to school on time.

Thanks for stopping by!
Emily

Way to be inspired by that photo, and congrats on winning this PS set!

I think your color combo could be entered into a challenge....what was it? Color Throwdown? ColourQ? Sorry I don't recall which it was!

Emzi, this is so great! I love those cute faces, the polkadot paper, and that yummo black trim. What a super fun card destined to really bring a smile to someone's face. You know, I have saved that inspiration photo and I think I am going to do my craft room like this when I start redoing it (hopefully soon). I like the concept of having one really super fun wall with wild print. I just got to figure out where to get some large circle stickers at a reasonable price. One year I painted my DD's room lime green and we did multi-colored large dots which I painted. It was the most tedious job and then I learned I could have done it with stickers..... Hugz!!!

Oh my gosh Emily this is too cute and adorable! What an absolute fun take on the Sparks Challenge! I am ga ga over that fancy little trim and what a good eye to bring that into the card from the pillow trim. Where on where did you find such fabulous pretties? Oh and your PP what a perfect match...You nailed this one for sure!
