. . . some news that I've had to keep under my hat for a couple of months now and I've been absolutely dying to share. It's official as of today, so I'm extremely excited to announce that I am now a
Wow!! I'm still pinching myself. I was completely over the moon back in October when the sweet Paulina of DeNami Design Rubber Stamps asked if I'd like to join the DeNami Design Team. My decision was made in a mere half second, followed by much dancing around the house :). And I must say, I am still over the moon! I cannot wait to show you the sweet stamps from this fabulous company and share lots of ideas for how to use them.
Not familiar with DeNami Design Rubber Stamps? I'd encourage you to stop by the online shop (or shop in person at a stamp show near you on the DeNami Design 2012 Stamp Tour). Be prepared to browse for a while: the DeNami catalog is vast, with over 900 different stamps. Yes, I said 900!! Be sure to swing by the DeNami Design blog for lots of inspiration--or better yet, become a Follower so you can keep up to date on all that's going on: you'll find great project ideas, video tutorials, and giveaways, plus a new challenge each month (with a chance to win a DeNami gift certificate) and a monthly blog hop (DeNami customers get the chance to share their DeNami creations as part of the hop--and there are always 3 mini DeNami shopping sprees up for grabs!). My favorite feature on the DeNami blog? The Product Spotlights!! Twice each month the entire design team creates projects using the same stamp. I LOVE seeing all the different ways you can use a single stamp. Talk about showcasing versatility! And psst . . . the Product Spotlight stamp always goes on sale for a limited time. So keep your eyes open!!
Now, how about a card? Here is my first official project as a DeNami Design Team member:
Yes, it's true--I'm starting on my Valentine card stash, and this sweet Valentine Chickie stamp was the perfect stamp to kick off the Valentine season. I stamped and embossed her on watercolor paper and then watercolor painted her with dye inks.
The "Be Mine" sentiment comes from DeNami's Love Sentiments stamp set, which I am finding to be very versatile. The other products I've used on this card that can be found in the DeNami shop: Magenta cardstock, Petal Pink cardstock, and my go-to ink: Versafine Onyx Black.
The sketch for my card comes from Lucy Abrams' Sketch Week, the Day 4 sketch:
Loved it! I'm also entering this in Paper Sundaes Challenge #101: Out with the Old, In with the New (I used my brand new DeNami chickie stamp and some BasicGrey Lemonade patterned paper I've had in my stash for longer than I care to admit) and the Simon Says Stamp "New Something" challenge (my "new" is using something new: that sweet DeNami chickie stamp!).
I'll be back on Sunday with my next DeNami post (if not sooner!) as part of the January DeNami blog hop, which has a Valentine theme this month. There's sure to be lots of love-y inspiration and Valentine eye candy. If you don't have any DeNami stamps yet, why don't you give the blog hop a try? Two randomly selected commenters will win $20 DeNami gift certificates. That's how I came by my first DeNami stamps 10 months ago!!
Thank you, thank you for stopping by to share my little slice of happy today!
