Thank U, Moxie Fab World, + a GIVEAWAY!

Yesterday I was floating around on cloud nine all day. Yup, totally filled with blissful helium ;). And why is that, you ask? Well, I got some great news concerning this card:

You can read all about it here in this post.

I posted it here on my blog last month as my entry for the Use 10 Embellishments Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, in honor of the release of the new Paper Crafts special issue, 75 Creative Card Challenges. Well, the winners were posted yesterday and I was over the moon to find out that Cath Edvalson, Trends Editor for Paper Crafts magazine and host of its Moxie Fab World blog, thinks I am Moxie Fab!!

Lil' ol' me!? Color me happy :-)! My juggling card was one of two named as winners in this category from out of 104 entries. You can read all about it here. But that's not all. Cath went on to say this about my card: "This is one of the most clever approaches to this [10 embellishments] challenge I could ever hope to have seen. Indeed, it's one of the most clever approaches to any card challenge I have ever seen, hands down, bar none, period." Aw, shucks!! I'm totally blushing over here.

Now, I am usually not one to toot my own horn. But I've got to say that this one just had me so excited, I just had to share. And what better way to share good news than to spread around some happiness? So, let's celebrate with a GIVEAWAY! I have a brand-new clear stamp set from Flourishes, called Tiny Flowers and Tags, to share with one of my readers. I've been saving it for a special occasion, and I think this just may be it ;-).

It's such a fun little stamp set, right?

Here in Massachusetts we are under a BLIZZARD WATCH (can you believe that?) for Friday into Saturday. Our part of the state is expected to get between 18 inches and 24 inches of snow. That is a lot of snow at once, people! It could get pretty exciting around here. {Just how much excitement can one gal take?} So, here's how we'll do my little giveaway: If you would like to be in the running for this Flourishes stamp set, leave me a comment on this blog post using the word "BLIZZARD" before 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday,  February 11, 2013. You can tell me how you would feel if a blizzard were bearing down on you right now, if you'd like ;-). I'll draw one "blizzard"-using commenter at random to win Tiny Flowers and Tags, then post the winner here on my blog on February 12. If I can find the winner's email address, I'll email her as well!

Now, there's no need to be a follower of my blog to enter the giveaway, but if you are a follower (or become a new follower!), you can have a second entry in the drawing--just leave me a second comment telling me that you are a follower and how you follow.

Well, here's hoping that we don't lose power during this snowstorm! I'm off to do my regular weekly grocery shopping next. It's unfortunate timing--I'm sure the shelves will already be stripped bare of essentials like milk and bread. But that's OK. I already stocked up on milk yesterday, so we'll make do with whatever is left!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing a little slice of bliss with me today. It is always great to see you here!
Grinning from ear to ear,
Emily

Oh, Emily, I'm doing a happy dance for you! Congratulations! I agree with Cath, it's an amazing card! If we had a BLIZZARD bearing down on us, I would have my lantern ready, the gas logs on and my craft table ready to go. Be safe. Hope you don't lose your power. And I'm still so excited for you.

Oh, Ems, I am so grinning from ear-to-ear, too!! In fact, if you remember right, I totally called this one and knew you were going to be a winner!! My faith in the whole of the universe has been restored; it would have been so wrong if you had NOT won!

Don't put me in the drawing, hon, I have so much stuff already! That is sweet of you to do a giveaway.

I'm crossing my fingers that the big blizzard is a lot of hype and that you aren't too terribly inconvenienced by it all, losing power and such.

You rock!! xxoo Darnell

I already gave you my kudos, but since I'm also sitting in a blizzard I should say wooo hoooo once again. (I lasted 3 runs at the ski resort and decided that flu earlier this week got the better of me and bailed...).

Big congrats on the win at MFW, Emily - it was a genius idea! So pleased for you!! Hope you enjoy that big storm coming your way - being a snowbird I feel kind of left out :)) (love snows like that when I don't have to be outside navigating in them)

CONGRATS, Emily!!! So well-deserved! This card ROCKS!! When you're done with that BLIZZARD, please send it to Colorado!!! We desperately need multiple blizzards before this winter is over!!! Hope the grocery shopping went smoothly! Stay safe and warm!!!!

Emily, that card is amazing & is so beyond deserving of Cath's words - it was truly THE most thoughtful & innovative! Plus YOU made it, so naturally that makes it even better :)
We have that same blizzard bearing down on us - and yep, grocery store shelves should be bare shortly. It could very well be a weekend of using the BBQ to cook everything. Fingers crossed that your power (and ours!) stays on!!

For the sake of sounding rude in a sweet way well DUH! I knew it! It wouldn't have mattered if there were 1500 entries you would have taken the mention on this one. It is truly amazing. Your thought behind it goes beyond a shout out and a win! I am so stinkin' happy for you I am doing a happy dance right with you!

I have heard about the blizzard warnings - hang in there!! My favorite memory was when we got 1.5 feet of snow over Christmas about five years ago! I just LOVED the quiet it brought. The entire area shut down (we don't get a lot of snow out here so not a lot of snow removal equipment at the best of times) and the beauty was stunning. Could use another blizzard out here - kids would love it! Stay safe and post pictures LOL!

A big congrats to you and well deserved too! Your creations are always so interesting, downright unique and creative too! Stay safe out there in the blizzard. I'm here in North Grafton MA and have NO plans to leave the house today! Don't think I've ever seen snow fall so fast before!

You are Moxie Fab! I loath blizzards. Being from Michigan originally, we got our share. I think we are only getting rain for this one.

Congrats on the wonderful words Cath used to describe your card, too. I would be floating too! Good luck with your BLIZZARD. We may get 2-4 inches here in my area. Not too bad. Have a great weekend burrowing inside!

A huge congrats Emily! Your card pretty much jumped off of the page when I read the Moxie Fab post! Fabulously clever, perfectly executed, colors that rock and the sweetest melding of embellies that I have ever seen! Your humbleness is heartwarming, but girl....this is really one of those times that you have just got to toot that horn! Well done :)

Emily, I am so excited for you! I knew this card was very special when I saw it on your blog. It's so creative. Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Hope you and all your family and friends came through the blizzard OK. We are still getting hit here in NB but it could be worse. A good day to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and catch up on some blogs. :)

Congratulations!! I'll send some sun your way girl, so at least it'll be sunny and snowy for you!

Emily, Cath's description of your card didn't surprise me at all! I felt the same way about it...pure genius!!! I respect my Mom so much for all of the juggling she's done in her life...all for others. She never put herself first. When we forced her to, she did it uncomfortably like she felt she didn't deserve it! Heartbreaking... That said, I'm so happy to see a busy Mom and gifted artist get her due rewards. You be Moxie FAB baby!!! :)
I'm watching my landlord dig me out of yesterday's blizzard. 25" of snow over two days...ooof!

I follow you, happily, via Google Follower :)

Whew, your adorable card shows a BLIZZARD of creativity for sure!!! I always love your projects, but I agree with Cath that this one is out of this world!! Hoping you sailed right through that darn BLIZZARD and stayed warm and safe. I have to say that I'll pass on experiencing a blizzard, thank you very much...because I hate to be cold and/or lose my electricity!
