I used some super versatile stamps from DeNami Design: Small Solid Square, Small Solid Rectangle, and Ribbon Topper. Perfect for build-your-own presents! You can also find the inks and cardstock I used in the DeNami store: Satin Red Versafine ink, Olympia Green Versafine ink, Lime Versacolor ink, and Sage cardstock.
I was inspired by a few challenges:
- ColourQ Challenge #167: (my artichoke is the sentiment; unfortunately, it almost looks black in my photo!)
- CASology Week #23: Gift (be inspired by a "gift" theme)
- CAS-ual Fridays CFC82: Even the Score (to use scoring somewhere in your design)
Have you got any good plans for the weekend? I'm taking the kids Christmas shopping for their dad after school today. Tomorrow it will be his turn to take them Christmas shopping for me ;). We're also hoping to do a lot of cookie baking and candy making! Tomorrow morning we're helping sort food donations at church. All during November folks have been contributing non-perishable ingredients for a Christmas feast. On Sunday during the Sunday School hour, families will work together to assemble 50 Christmas food baskets from the donations to deliver to the local food pantry. The food donations have been collecting around the altar for weeks now, so our job tomorrow is to help carry everything into the fellowship hall where the assembly will take place and sort and stack it to streamline the basket assembly on Sunday. It's always fun (and amazing how quickly the work goes when folks work together!) and you just can't beat the feeling you get after helping with something like that. Our kids always want to be involved!
Thanks for taking a peek at what made me happy today!
Emily

I love the DeNami ribbon topper stamp! This is a great CAS design.
Love those score lines! I need remember to make flat adds for mailing!
Such a sweet thank you card, and the presents are really cute! I've helped with Christmas food baskets and gifts before, and it does feel good to help others. So glad to hear your kids love to help!!

The score lines under the cheerful presents make such a great design detail. Very cute cards.
Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday morning with the kids. It's so sad how every year there seem to be more and more families depending on these boxes to get them through, not just the season but the whole year.
Hope your DH and children have fun shopping. (Did you thoughtfully provide a list? lol)
Thank you! for sharing your pretty Thank-You note cards! :)
fab card!! love it :)
what a fantastic combination of all the challenges! thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!
Love the scoring and images on these pretty cards! Your Christmas sounds wonderful - helping others (yay for you), crafting, shopping, cookie baking - now that is what Christmas is all about!!!!! Hugz to you Emily!
Don't forget the Moxie Fab Neon challenge!
Love the scored lines - it adds so much class to that layer :)
Your weekend plans sound lovely! Every year in lieu of teacher gifts (of course they still get cards!) we donate to the school's collection for the food bank. The kids really look forward to doing it.
Cute! Thanks so much for joining us this week at the ColourQ!!
This is cute! Love those present stamps. They just say 'fun'. Sounds like you had a jam packed weekend. I hope you were able to accomplish everything you set out to do, and still had some time to kind of relax. ;)
