BLOG CANDY

Happy Mother's Day to all of you fabulous mothers out there!!

To celebrate Mother's Day, I am offering a little bit of girlie girl BLOG CANDY. And here's the great thing: you don't have to be a mother to play along. All you need is to have, or have had, a mother. The way I see it, that includes pretty much EVERYONE, right? Right. :)

I have a stash of this lovely hot pink, black, and white striped 1.5"-wide grosgrain ribbon. Go ahead: take a closer look (just click on the photo to enlarge it). I'll wait.

I love it {a lot} but I have a ton of it, and today I'd like to share some with one of you, my lovely friends and readers, in honor of Mother's Day. So, up for grabs is 5 yards of this striped grosgrain ribbon. I'll send it to a randomly drawn winner anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. (Sorry for the restriction, folks. Having to feed my own two munchkins siphons off funds for shipping to a wider audience.) Here's what you need to do:

  • If you aren't already a follower, I would love for you to become one! It's easy to "follow" using the button for Google Friend Connect on my right-hand side bar. Or consider subscribing to My Little Slice of Bliss posts via email. You'll find a "Subscribe via email" block on my right-hand side bar just under "Followers." Just type in your email address and you will be on your way to subscribing!! (Following is not required to enter the blog candy drawing.)
  • Leave me a comment on this post answering this question: What color do you love to pair with PINK? (One comment per person please). Be sure to mention your favorite go-with-pink color in your comment or you will be ineligible for the prize.
Entries for the blog candy drawing close at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. I will announce the winner here on my blog on Wednesday, May 11, by noon EDT. The winner will have until noon EDT on Saturday, May 14, to contact me via email to claim her prize, or a new winner will be drawn.

I'll be back in a bit with a card that uses this oh, so girlie pink & black color combo as part of the DeNami Design Girlie Girl Blog Hop. I hope you can join me!
DeNami May Blog Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, checking out my little slice of bliss, and helping me celebrate Mother's Day! I hope you'll come back to visit again soon!!

Have a terrific day!
Cheers,
Emily

Happy Mother's Day Girlfriend. I love Pink. It's the sister to my favorite color "Red"!!! I must be a Type 1 personality...lol Pink goes with any color-but I love pink with black. I am already a follower-so thanks for the give-a-way!

You know, I"m not really a pink girl, but since I'm a challenge happy person I find myself doing color challenges with pink in them from time to time... Wait, are you asking what color on a card I use with pink or in real life? In real life I'd never wear pink... red yes, pink, no. On a card... black is good, discovered grey works well (see current CR84FN colors!), or cream.

Well, I do't really love to wear pink, but if I do, I pair it with a cream or white color for a springy look. And on cards, I use pink with grey or yellow!
Happy Mother's Day!

Pink and black is a classic combo I love to use. Also enjoy pink and grey and pink and green or pink and yellow. Thanks for the chance to win :)

Well, I need to throw my hat in the ring for this ribbon! I love to put green and pink together. But black and pink is pretty awesome too! THanks for offering up some candy. :)

Honestly, I think that, depending on the shade of pink used, it can be beautifully paired with just about ANY color, so it's hard to pick a favorite! However, pink and black are ALWAYS sophisticated and gorgeous, and pink and green always make me smile, so those are my two favorites! :)

Happy Mother's Day to you too Emily! I hope J & J are spoiling you as you deserve to be! I like pairing pink with chocolate the best lately, though I have also seen some shades of pink paired with yellow lately that looks awesome. Thanks for the generous chance to win some yummy ribbon! have a great Mother's Day!

Hi Emily! I can't believe I wasn't a follower until today! Sorry about that! I have to say one of my favorite colors to pair with pink is GREY! Love the softness it gives! Although, a fast second is BROWN!

I have two answers...since I was a child, I always used the same three color crayons from the box...pink, black and grey. Nowadays, I have graduated to a more sophisticated pink and brown (inspired by my last trip to the UK where THAT was the color palette to wear : )
Thanks for the opportunity to win such yummy ribbon!
