Layer Cake

Today I'm playing along with this week's Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge! Here's my celebration card:
and here's this week's inspiration for Challenge #35:
I colored in my tiny layer cake with Prismacolor pencils and added some TE Tiny Twinkles to the Os of the "your" words in the sentiment and also to the frosting swirls on the cake.
I played along with two other challenges while making this card, too:
In other news, my kids are home from school today for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. After breakfast, my daughter spotted a flock of wild turkeys in our front yard!! Here are a few photos.
I was trying to take the pictures through the sidelight windows around the front door, so they aren't the best. I was afraid that opening the door to get a better photo would scare them. I think there must have been at least a dozen, maybe even as many as 20. It's so funny to listen to them--they really do "gobble!"

Thanks for dropping by for a little slice of bliss!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Birthday Bliss
Paper: SU baja breeze CS, The Paper Company red and white CS,
Echo Park DP from the Sweet Summertime collection
Ink: Palette l'amore red
Accessories: CM corner rounder punch, SU scallop trim corner punch, EK 1.5" and 1.25" square punches, foam tape, baker's twine, TE Tiny Twinkles

What a fun cheery card. Great take on the insp. piece and the sentiment is too fun :) Lovely touch with the twine too.

What a wonderful experience to see those turkeys! My in-laws have quail that pass by their back yard once in a while and it is so much fun seeing nature wander through your yard. Kids must have been thrilled :)

I just love that fun birthday card! The layout of your card is fabulous! Thanks for sharing those turkey photos. It seems like turkeys are taking over the world! LOL! We see a lot more of them in the past five years then ever before.
Even my parent's summer cottage up north-they are everywhere! :D

Whoa, wild turkeys? Lucky! Speaking of turkeys, my cousin and her hubby adopted a wild turkey in the fall from a local animal shelter (yes, you read right). He had been attacked by a fox and needed rehab, so the shelter took him in. My cousin's hubby built a luxe pen for "Nico" (which means 'warrior') and he's living the high life now!

BTW, I thought for sure your card was entered in the Moxie Fab challenge; you should check that one out. It looks just like the inspiration pic!!
